Great Picture Books to Introduce Swimming for Babies & Toddlers.

Picture books are a great tool to use when introducing and explaining a new idea to your baby. I recently picked up the "Maisy Learns to Swim" by Lucy Cousins from the local library. After I read the story to my children I was amazed at how well it explains a swimming lesson in a few pictures and under 20 or so words. This book and a few others I have read over the years to my children would be perfect for parents to use to introduce their baby or toddler to the world of swimming lessons. The picture books below will help make swimming seem familiar and fun to your baby, especially if their favourite character like Pepper Pig or Maisy has done it.
Maisy learns to Swim by Lucy Cousins
Peppa Goes Swimming by Labybird Books
Peppa Pig is the most popular pre-school licensed character. Peppa and George are going swimming, but George is a bit scared. How will Mummy and Daddy Pig ever convince him to get in the pool?
Ruby Learns to Swim by Phillip Gwynne
Froggy Learns to Swim by Jonathan London
